Feeling Down or Depressed
Many of us can sometimes have moods in which we feel very low or sad. Thankfully these tend not to last and are a normal part of being a human being.
I use the word depression to describe overwhelming and persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness and helplessness. In many cases accompanied by physical symptoms such as:
✔ tiredness and lethargy
✔ persistent sadness and/or crying
✔ a feeling of "I don't care about anything"
✔ difficulty in either falling asleep or staying asleep
✔ lack of enjoyment in life
✔ feelings of helplessness and hopelessness
✔ loss of appetite or overwhelming urge to eat or drink too much
✔ finding it hard to function (work, home, school)
There are so many reasons why we may feel depressed. It could be due to bereavement, divorce, financial set-backs, stress, etc. Sometimes, however, we may not even be aware of why we have feelings of depression. We just know we feel depressed.
I use a combination of life coaching, TFT, NLP and hypnosis to address feeling of depression.
Once I learned the skills which allowed me to conquer my own feelings of depression, I knew I wanted to apply them to help others.
To be finally free from feelings of depression is an incredible and wonderful life-enhancing feeling!
