Feeling Down or Depressed

Many of us can sometimes have moods in which we feel very low or sad. Thankfully these tend not to last and are a normal part of being a human being.

I use the word depression to describe overwhelming and persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness and helplessness. In many cases accompanied by physical symptoms such as:

tiredness and lethargy
persistent sadness and/or crying
a feeling of "I don't care about anything"
difficulty in either falling asleep or staying asleep
lack of enjoyment in life
feelings of helplessness and hopelessness
loss of appetite or overwhelming urge to eat or drink too much
finding it hard to function (work, home, school)

There are so many reasons why we may feel depressed. It could be due to bereavement, divorce, financial set-backs, stress, etc. Sometimes, however, we may not even be aware of why we have feelings of depression. We just know we feel depressed.

I use a combination of life coaching, TFT, NLP and hypnosis to address feeling of depression.

Once I learned the skills which allowed me to conquer my own feelings of depression, I knew I wanted to apply them to help others.

To be finally free from feelings of depression is an incredible and wonderful life-enhancing feeling!
